We have a ACVS Board-Certified Surgeon that performs procedures such as: OCD lesion removal, Standing Tie-Back Surgery, Splint Bone Removal, Ovary Removal, Fracture Repair, Cryptorchid Castration, Hernia Repair and Corrective Limb Deformity Procedures. Our surgeon is Dr. Joe Morgan, DVM, DACVS. Originally from Ironton, Ohio, Dr. Morgan completed his undergraduate work at Marshall University. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2001. After completing an internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, Dr.Morgan completed his residency training in equine surgery at the University of wisconsin. Upon completeing his residency, he spent the next five years in Southern California working on thoroughbreds at Del Mar, Hollywood Park and Santa Anita racetracks. After leaving california, he relocated to a practice located in Lexington, Kentucky for the following five years as a staff surgeon. Dr. Morgan is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
